Indians drop the falcons 5-2

The Indians opened the game scoring quick and often, Trevor Temple opened the scoring at 1:01 unassisted and then again at 1:27 assisted by Landon Hubbard to jump out to a 2-0 lead. The Falcons pulled back within one about one minute later, however Cole Lussier scored at 6:23 from Frankie Pucci And Casey Gilling, then Gilling scored Pucci and TJ Zajac to finish out the period up 4-1. Ashton Calder opened the second period at 1:20 from Kyle Yates and Temple. The Detroit Falcons scored at the 2:32 mark of the second period and from that point both teams traded scoring opportunities but couldn't buy a goal. The game ended 5-2. Jared Sauve took the win in net.

Both teams will be back in action tomorrow 10am at the Pullar Stadium.

Indians get back on the ice after a weekend off

The team will get back on the ice Tuesday to prepare for the Detroit Falcons who come to town Saturday at 5pm and Sunday at 10am, both games will be played at the Pullar Stadium. This month will be a very important month as the team prepares for the State play downs at the end of the month in Lansing and a birth in the Michigan State Hockey Championship in Taylor early in March.

The Indians current record is 24 wins, 19 loses, 1 tie, and 2 shut out loses.

Indians and Michigan Hockey Academy tie 3-3

In a physical battle in the Sunday rematch at Pullar Stadium the teams played to a 3 all tie. Michigan Hockey Academy opened the scoring again and lead briefly until Cole Lussier scored from Andrew Barbeau and Seiya Hayata on a power play. Brenden MacLaren gave the Indians their first lead of the game on some nice passing from Ashton Calder and Landon Hubbard at the 8:55 mark of the second period. Frankie Pucci open the lead two minutes later on power play goal assisted by Lussier and Casey Gilling, however Michigan pulled within one later in the period and the teams went to the dressing room with the Indians up 3-2. In the third the Michigan Hockey academy tied the game at the 2:52 mark of the period and after that neither team could get the winning goal. Brandon Gordon took the tie in net for the Indians.

The Indians will be off this upcoming weekend and return to action on February 8 and 9 when they take on the Detriot Falcons at 5pm and 10am at the Pullar Stadium.

Indians top Michigan hockey academy 6-4

The Michigan Hockey Academy jumped out to an early lead 3:07 into the game however Andrew Barbeau tied the game on a power play 4 minutes later with an assist going to Frankie Pucci. The hockey academy scored again to take the lead again till Ethan St.Germain scored on a breakaway assisted by Landon Hubbard and Cade Nolan with first period ending tied. Hockey academy scored again to take the lead again but Pucci answered back at 8:58 mark on a power play from Barbeau and Cole Lussier. Lussier scored the Indians 4th goal for their first lead of the night assisted by Pucci and Tyler Baker. Michigan Hockey Academy scored their 4th goal at the 14:55 and the teams went to the dressing room tied 4-4. The third period was all Indians as Brenden Maclaren scored the game winning goal at the 3:34 mark of third period assisted by Ashton Calder and Hubbard. St.Germain scored his second goal of the game for the insurance marker at 12:27 to close out the game assisted by Trevor Temple and Brian Stack.

Jared Sauve took the win in net. The two teams face off tomorrow morning at the Pullar Stadium at 10am.

Indians complete the sweep with a 7-3 victory over the electricians

Ashton Calder started right where he left off the night before opening the scoring at the 1:48 mark assisted by Brenden MacLaren. Less than a minute into the second period Casey Gilling score from Frankie Pucci and Cole Lussier and at the 9:39 mark Calder scored his second of the game shorthanded from Landon Hubbard. Marquette answered back with :17 seconds remaining in the second period shorthanded and the teams went to the dressing with a score of 3-1. Kyle Yates opened the scoring in the third period on a power play from Calder and Hubbard, however the Electro's fought back to get the score to 4-3 before Trevor Jestadt scored assisted by Calder and TJ Zajac. Mike Miller lit the lamp 40 seconds later from Brian Stack and Trevor Temple, Temple finished out the scoring with a shorthanded goal at the :54 second mark. Brandon Gordon took the win in net.

The Indians returning home next weekend carrying a record of 23-19-0-2 to take on the Michigan Hockey Academy with Saturday nights game at 7 pm at the Taffy Abel arena and Sunday morning 10 am at the Pullar Stadium.
