Indians drop a pair of one goal games to Belle Tire

Saturday afternoon the Indians met up with Belle Tire at the Pullar Staduim in MAHA league action.  Belle Tire opened the scoring late in the first period lead to take the lead then Lucca Weinkauf took pass from Caden McDonald and Jack Jimenez beating their netminder to even the score at 1-1.  Less than a minute later Belle Tire regained the lead on the power play.  In the third both teams traded opportunities but neither team could capitalize for a final score of 2-1.  Cam LaBadie turned away 38 shots in a losing effort.

Sundays rematch started with Treyce Moran scoring midway through the first period from Caden McDonald and Lucca Weinkauf, then Brayden  Grange scored from Weinkauf and McDonad to go up 2.  However Belle Tire came back late in the first and early in the second to even things up at 2, early in the third Belle Tire scored to regain the lead, but the kept fighting back and Moran scored his second of the game from Grange and Weinkauf to tie the game up.  Less than 20 seconds later Belle Tire scored to make it 4-3 and what turned out to be the game winner for a score of 4-3.  Justin Bamberger had the duties in net for the Indians.

Next action for the team will be next Saturday and Sunday when they travel to Lake Forest Illinois to play Lake Forest Prep Academy.

Indians battle to 2 wins and 2 losses on the Wisconsin road trip.

This weekend the Indians went on the road for 4 games in Wisconsin, first heading to Madison on Friday night for the first of two games against the Capitals.  Sabre Koleber opened the scoring early from Owen Hendrikson, then Brayden Grange scored from Drew Dellies to give the Indians a 2-0 lead at the end of the first period.  The second period saw the Capitals get two goals to even the score at 2 all at the end of the second period, Madison scored two goals in the third period before Lucca Weinkauf scored from Brayden Grange to get within one goal, however time ran out giving the Capitals a 4-3 win.  Justin Bamberger was in net for the Indians.

In the Saturday morning rematch the Indians again got on the board first with Treyce Moran scoring from Jarret Crimin and Sabre Koleber, then Brayden Grange scored from Ethan Chambers and Dominic Cicco to give the Indians a 2-0 lead.  Madison got on the board late in the second period to make it tight, but Kyle Stevens put the game away late in the third period for the 3-1 win.  Cam Labadie earned the win in net for the Indians.

After the morning game the team jumped on the bus and headed to Green Bay to take on the Bobcats later that night.  Green Bay took advantage the Indians early scoring 5 unaswered goals before the Drew Dellies scored assisted by Lucca Weinkauf and Owen Hendrikson, Brayden Grange scored from Lucca Weinkauf and Dellies,  but it was too late and Bobcats won 5-2.  Justin Bamberger was in the net for the Indians.

Sunday morning the Indains came read to play scoring 5 goals in the first period, Sabre Koleber started the scoring from Jarret Crimin, Owen Hendrikson scored from Caden McDonald, Evan Hoglund got on the board from Grange and Drew Dellies.  Dellies scored from Grange and Hoglund, and finally Lucca Weinkauf scored from Hoglund and Aedan Haapala to put the Indians up 5-0 at the end of 1 period.  In the second period Hoglund scored his second of the game from Koleber and added his third of the game (Hattrick) from Dellies and Pierson Zittel to complete the scoring for the Indians.  The Bobcats got on the board late in second and another in the third for final score of 7-2.  Cam Labadie had the duties in net for the win.

The Indians return home this coming weekend to take on Belle Tire in MAHA league action, Saturday 4pm at the Pullar Staduim and Sunday 10am at the Taffy Abel Arena.

Indians go 1-1-1 on the Weekend

This past weekend the Indians left Friday to take on Honeybaked in a MAHA league action.  Honeybaked jumped out to an early lead in the first period, however late in the period Jarret Crimin found the twine from Treyce Moran and Sabre Koleber to even things up through one period.  In the second Koleber scored to give the Indians the lead assisted by Caden McDonald, but Honeybaked came back to tie the game at 2 a piece through two periods.  The third period saw Honeybaked get the lead with six minutes remaining, then Gabe Fisher scored with 5:17 from Lucca Weinkauf to even it up again and send the game into overtime.  In the 5 minute 4 on 4 overtime neither could score leaving the game to be determined in a shoot out.  In the shoot out it took 10 rounds of shooters to determine the winner with Honeybaked coming out on top.  Ben Daguanno played excellent in net for the Indians.

Saturday saw the Indians get back on the bus and head to Cleveland Ohio to take on the Cleveland Barons.  Brayden Grange opened the scoring for the Indians for the initial lead, however the Barons came back with three unawnsered goal for 3-1 lead before Drew Dellies scored from Lucca Weinkauf and Gabe Fisher to get back within one goal.  The third period had the Barons add one more goal to secure the win 4-2.  Cam Labadie had the duties in the pipes.

Sundays rematch it was the Indians jumping out to the lead again early in first period when Brayden Grange scored from Sabre Koleber less than 4 minutes later Drew Dellies added one from Kyle Stevens and Caden McDonald, then McDonald scored from Daniel Ripstein to give the Indians a 3-0 lead at the end of the first period.  In the second Cleveland came fighting back to even the score at 3 all before Koleber scored late in the second from Pierson Zittle to regain the 4-3 lead.  The third period saw both teams trade scoring opportunities but Cam Labadie turned away all the shots to give the Indians the 4-3 win.

The Indians will now have a week off before heading to Madison Wisconsin for two games with the Capitals and then on to Green Bay to face the Bobcats.
