Indians came out quick and strong downing the electricians 10-0

It was only a matter of time until the newest member of Indians Ashton Calder scored his first goal and tonight he opened the scoring at the 15:16 mark unassisted and again at the 3:13 mark assisted by Landon Hubbard and Brenden MacLaren to end the period 2-0. Cole Lussier found the net at 12:07 mark from Frankie Pucci and Kyle Yates to start the scoring in the second period, Ethan St.Germain lit the lamp assisted by Trevor Temple and Brian Stack. The final goal of the period was scored by Landon Hubbard from Calder and MacLaren and the teams went to the dressing with the Indians up 5-0. The flood gates opened in the 3rd when Pucci scored a minute into the period, assists going to Kyle Yates and TJ Zajac, Temple added to the lead 3 minutes later assisted by Hubbard. Calder scored his third of the game for the hat trick assisted by Zajac and added his fourth goal of the game at the 4:09 mark unassisted. Trevor Jestadt finished the scoring at :54 second mark assisted by Mike Miller. Jared Sauve took the win and shutout in the net.

The second game of the weekend series will be at 10 am Sunday morning at the Lakeview Arena.

Indians get back on the winning ways 7-1 over Belle Tire Selects

Saturday Belle Tire started the scoring at the 6:54 mark of the first period on a power play, after that it was all Indians. Mike Miller tied the game at 9:33 of the second period from Nick Cammarata and Trevor Jestadt. 30 seconds later Brenden MacLaren scored from Ashton Calder to take the lead and never looked back. Cole Lussier added to the lead from Casey Gilling and Tyler Baker, Landon Hubbard finished the second period scoring assist going to Ashton Calder and the teams went to the dressing room with the Indians up 4-1. The third period started fast as Frankie Pucci scored 8 seconds into the period assisted by Gilling and Lussier. The scoring continued when Cade Nolan buried a rebound into the net, assisted by Calder and Lussier. And with 44 seconds remaining Trevor Jestadt finished the scoring from Gilling. Brandon Gordon took the win in net.

The Indians travel to Marquette next weekend to take on the Electricians.

Caesars drops the Indians 6-2

Caesars struck quickly at the 13:58 mark on a powerplay to open the scoring. Three minutes later Cole Lussier tipped a shot from the point by Andrew Barbeau, assisted by Seiya Hayata to tie the game up. Caesars answered back to take the lead again until Barbeau scored on a shot from the point assisted by Lussier. After that it was all Caesars and the period ended 3-2. Both teams skated to a scoreless second period however it was Caesars scoring 3 in the final period to secure the win. Jared Sauve took the loss in net.

The Indians take on the Belle Tire Selects at 11 am Saturday morning.
