Indians rebound to take a 5-3 win over lake Forrest prep academy

Saturdays game start much the same as the Indians scored first when Trevor Temple put home a rebound to break the ice assisted by Ashton Calder. Two minutes later Frankie Pucci lit the lamp on a power play, set up by Cole Lussier and Cade Nolan ending the period up 2-0. In the second period the Indians picked up right were they left off when Ashton Calder scored unassisted on a strong move to the net to go up 3-0, then five minutes later Temple scored his second of the game tipping a shot from the point by Kyle Yates and assisted by Mike Miller. Lake Forest finally found the net to get within 3 and with four minutes remaining in the period the Indians went down two men on penalties to give Lake Forest a 5-3 power play for two minutes. During the power play Lake Forest sent many shots at the net, but Brandon Gordon was up to the test making several spectacular saves and shut the door refusing to allow anything by him killing off the penalties. The teams went to the intermission with the Indians up 4-1. Lake Forest came out determined to get back in the game and scored at 7:23 mark to make it 4-2 game, however two minutes later Trevor Jestadt blocked a shot and on an outstanding individual effort beat the defenseman and goalie to increase the Indians lead again. Lake Forest managed to get one more goal before Gordon shut the door to take the 5-3 win in the net.

The Indians return to action next Saturday at 5pm and Sunday at 10am. Both games will be played at the Pullar Stadium.
