Indians shoot down the falcons 3-1 to take the sweep on the weekend
Sunday, February 9, 2014 at 12:46PM Sundays game start fast for both teams with end to end action until Frankie Pucci lit the lamp at the 16:49 of the first period from Casey Gilling. The Falcons answered back in the final minute of the period to tie the game up. Cole Lussier gave the Indians the lead again at 12:28 on a power play from Pucci and Trevor Jestadt to give the Indians a 2-1 lead. In the final period the Indians put continuous pressure on Falcons goaltender but missed several golden opportunities, finally with 1:35 left in the third Lussier scored from Pucci and Gilling to close out the game and give the team a 3-1 win. Brandon Gordon took the win in net.
The Indians will face off against Lake Forest Prep Academy Friday night at 7pm and Saturday at 10 am. Both games will be played at the Taffey Abel Arena on the campus of Lake Superior State University.
Going into the weekend the Indians have a record of 26-19-1-2.
