Indians top the Chicago Young Americans 5-4

The Indians fought for a tough win in the second game of the Compuware/Honeybaked Classic.  Jake Smith opened the scoring banging home a rebound assisted by Ethan St.Germain and Brenden MacLaren.  Chicago came back to tie and take a one goal lead in the second period, however Zach Ahola found the net to tie it up from Nick Skaluba and St.Germain.  Brenden Miller gave the Indians a one goal lead late in the second period from Anthony Harris to end the second with the Indians up 3-2.  Then while killing a penalty Jonathon Bostwick buried a shot behind the Young Americans after Zach Ahola had worked the puck out from the corner to put the Indians up by two.  Chicago was not going to go away and found the net twice in the third to knot the score at 4 a piece, however with 3 minutes remaining Spencer DenBeste banged home a puck in front from MacLaren and Skaluba to take back the lead again.  The Indians maintained the lead and preserved the 5-4 win.
The Indians will be back in action tomorrow at 145 against Michigan Hockey Advancement.
