Indians down the Michigan Warriors 9-1
In the Indians return to the ice after a weekend off it took them a while to get back sharp playing sloppy first period as both teams skated to a 0-0 tie through one period. In the second Ashton Calder opened the scoring on a power play assisted by Kyle Yates to break the ice, Zach Satalino won the battle in from of the net on the second power play to find the back of the net to put the Indians up 2-0, assisted by Landon Hubbard and John Pesek. The Warriors got on the board to get back within 1, however from that point on the Indians poured on the pressure scoring two more goals before the end of the period, first Nick Skaluba stepped up and rifled a rebound past their goaltender from Mike Miller and Chris Hazen, then Landon Hubbard finished the scoring in the period from Brenden MacLaren and Brendan Miller. The third started quick with Cole Lussier scoring from Satalino and Trevor Jestadt, then less than a minute later Jestadt scored from Lussier. Hubbard then blocked a shot while killing a penalty and went down on a breakaway to score a shorthand goal, the scoring continued when MacLaren lite the lamp from Hazen and Skaluba. Brendan Miller finished out the scoring in the third period assisted by MacLaren for a 9-1 score. Brandon Gordon made several great saves to keep the Warriors off the board in a winning effort. Both teams return to the ice Sunday morning at 10am at the Pullar Staduim.
