Indians split the weekend series with Little Caesars

This weekend proved to be a closely battled contests between the Indians and Caesars.  Saturday both teams came out hitting with a quick pace, the fist period saw the teams skate even but neither team could buy a goal.  In the second period the Indians had a 45 second lapse and allowed Little Caesars to strike for two quick goals and lead, in the third the Indians continued to attack but couldn’t score and with the net empty Caesars scored to solidify the win 3-0.  Alex Rairigh was in net for the Indians.
On Sunday the Indians opened the scoring in the first period when Cody Colegrove scored on a rebound, from Chase Tallaire and Travis Blackhurst for the 1-0 lead, Caesars came right back to even the score two minutes later.  In the second period Little Caesars took the lead midway through period for the 2-1 lead at the end of the second period.  The third period turned out to be all Indians as the they scored three unanswered goals.  First Garth Wickham scored on a power play with assists going to Spencer Samppala and Jeff Rahilly, Then Cody Colegrove scored his second of the game and the eventually game winning goal from Wickham and Cam Parrott.  Hudson Troyer added an insurance goal late in the third from Colegrove and Tallaire for the 4-2.  Alex Rairigh was in the pipes for winning.
The Indians will now be on the road next weekend traveling to Detroit for the Honeybaked Invitational Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
