Indians drop two in Grand Rapids against Fox Motors

In the first of the two games series Saturday night both teams traded leads with Fox getting the eventual game winning goal with no time left on the clock.  Fox opened the scoring Saturday early in the first period however the Nolan Slachetka even the game from Spencer DenBeste and Jeff Rahilly in the first period.  Fox again drew first blood in the second and again Slachetka evened it up from DenBeste and Hayden Clark, The Indians took the lead midway through the period on a goal from DenBeste assisted by Rahilly.  Less than a minute later Rahilly would get a goal of his own from DenBeste and Slachetka to go up two goals, Fox would get back with in one late in the period.  In the third Fox tied the game and with no time left on the clock they scored the winning goal for a final of 5-4.  Jordan Lawday played outstanding in net.

 

Sunday morning Fox got on the board in the first period and added another in the second and the Indians just couldn't break the ice and the game ended 2-0.  Aidan Curry played excellent between the pipes for the Indians.

 

The will now travel next Saturday to USA arena to take on Compuware in Plymouth MI.
