Indians take the shootout win over Little Caesars

The third game of the Indians three game road trip to Windsor and Detroit had the them against Little
Caesars in a Michigan Amatuer Hockey Association Tier 1 league play.  Caesars opened the scoring in the first period on a power play to take the lead, from that point on both teams played even until the 2 minute mark of the third period when Luke Parry found the rebound in front of the Caesars netminder and put it over his shoulder to knot the game at one a piece, assist on the goal went to Cooper Smyl.  The remainder of regulation ended with the score 1-1.  In the 5 minute four on four overtime neither team could break the net and therefore the game would be decided in a three man shot out.  The Indians first shooter Domenick Evtimov beat the netminder low, then Caesars scored to even it again, the second shooter Nick Castillo scored on a quick move to put the Indians back in front again.  Dakota Meyer shut the door on the next shooter and Cooper Smyl secured the win on a nice move putting the puck high behind the netminder and taking the win.  Dakota Meyer played outstanding between the pipes.
The Indians return home next weekend to take on the Thunder Bay Kings in an exhibition series at the Taffy Abel Arena, Saturday 6pm and Sunday 10am.
