Indians double up on the Soo Thunderbirds AAA 4-2

In the final game of 2018 the Indians traveled across the border to take on the Soo Thunderbirds AAA after returning from Christmas break.  Midway through the first period Cody Carlson capitalized on nice passes from Chase Tallaire and Hayden Daca to put the Indians up by one, late in the period Carlson would get his second on the night on a feed from Luke Parry for the 2-0 lead at the end of the first period.  The second period saw a lot of chances however neither team scored, in the third, Andrew Schwartz scored on a shot from the slot from Griffen Hernalsteen to stretch the score to 3-0.  However the Thunderbirds scored two minutes later on a power play to cut the lead to two.  With 3:19 remaining Chase Tallaire got on the board from Carlson and Nolan Dresch for the fourth Indians goal, but the Thunderbirds scored ten seconds later to cut the lead.  The Indians closed out the rest of the game to secure the 4-2 win.  Gabe Rosek took the win in net playing the first half allowing no goals while Dakota Meyer finished in it off.
The Indians are back in action January 5 and 6th at the Taffy Abel Arena 5pm and 10am respectively when they take on Honeybaked from Detroit.
