Indians and Kings skate to a 4-4 Tie
Sunday’s rematch was an up and down evenly played match, The Kings jumped out the early lead in first period before Colton Hayes scored to even it up from Trevor Prince and Nolan Dresch. Thunder Bay regained the lead at the end of the first period, the Indians then mounted a charge when Prince scored set up by Hayes and Adam Brzezecki, then Warner Young scored from the slot on a pass from Hayes and Chase Tallaire to take a 3-2 lead midway through the second period. Thunder Bay didn’t lay down and scored two unanswered goals for a 4-3 lead through two periods. The third period was back and forth and with the goalie pulled Nicholas Castillo scored with 5.9 seconds remaining to even the game from Andrew Schwartz and Cooper Smyl for the 4-4 tie. Dakota Meyer was in net for the Indians.
The Indians travel to Detroit next weekend for the Compuware/Honeybaked Tournament.
