Indians win their home opener 4-3 over Green Bay

The home opener for 2021/22 had the Indians facing off against the Bobcats from Green Bay.  In the first period Brandon Vernarsky scored from the point from Colin Goff to break the ice and get the Indians on the board, three minutes later Seve Litz banged home a rebound from Goff and Vernarsky to put them up 2-0.  The second period had Alex Freund take the puck to the net beating their netminder, assisted by Goff and Kyle Stevens.  Midway through the second period Green Bay found their way scoring three unanswered goals to even the score at the a piece going into the third period.  Colin Goff scored on shot putting the Indians back ahead by a goal midway through the period, assisted by Robbie Landis and Alex Freund, which turned out to be enough and Peter Baldwin shut the door in net to preserve the 4-3 win.

Both teams will return to the ice Sunday morning 10am at the Taffey Abel Arena.
