Indians split with A21
Thursday night the Indians took on A21 Prep Academy from Windsor Ontario. Zach Sweitzer scored unassisted in the first period for 1-0 going into the second period, in the second the Indians found their scoring touch putting 4 goals behind the A21 netminder. First Kyle Stevens scored on a nice pass from Drew Dellies and Tryce Moran, then Dellies added one from Stevens and Moran. Owen Hendrikson continued the scoring from Luke Jimenez and Pierson Zittel, finally Evan Hogland scored from Ethan Chambers to put them up 5-0. A21 scored late in the period, but in the third period Stevens scored his second of the game from Dellies and Luke Jimenez. Sweitzer put his second of the game behind the goalies from Hendrikson and Caden McDonald, Luke Jimenez scored the final goal for the Indians short handed from Brayden Grange. A21 scored one goal in the third for a final score of 8-2, Cam Labadie took the win in the net.
Friday afternoon in the rematch neither team scored in the first period and then A21 scored two in the second period to go into the third period 2-0. In the third Owen Hendrikson got the Indians within one set up by Treyce Moran, however A21 answered back to regain the 2 goal lead. The Indians didn't stop as Dominick Cicco scored with 2 second remaining to give A21 the win 3-2. Justin Bamberger was in net for the Indians.
The Indians are now off for the Christmas break and wish everyone Happy Holidays.
