Barbeau Drafted by Muskegon Lumberjacks

Congratulations to Andrew Barbeau who was drafted by the Muskegon Lumberjacks of the USHL.  Barbeau totaled 7 goals and 9 Assists for the Soo Indians during the 2013-14 season.  Barbeau, a hard-hitting defensemen captained the Soo Indians to the State Tournament.

Gilling Drafted by Muskegon Lumberjacks in USHL Futures Draft

Congratulations to Casey Gilling who was drafted by Muskegon Lumberjacks of the USHL Futures Draft.  Casey totaled 19 goals and 29 assists in 56 games with the Soo Indians during the 2013-2014 season.

Indians Players Invited to Attend Soo Greyhounds Camp of the OHL

Cole Lussier and Andrew Barbeau will be attending the Soo Greyhounds 2014 Spring Development Camp April 25 & 26, 2014.

Lussier and Barbeau played with the 2013-14 Soo Indians Midget AAA Team.  They are both free agents attending the camp.

Lussier is a skilled, big, strong forward and played in 56 games for the Indians.  He had 23 goals and 30 assists for 53 points. 

Barbeau is a crafty, hard-hitting defenseman and played in 51 games for the Indians.  He posted 16 points with 48 penalty minutes.

The Soo Indians Organization wished both players the best of luck this weekend.

Congratulations to former soo Indian alumni Garrett Thompson on signing an NHL contract with the Ottawa Senators

Congratulations to Seiya Hayata and Cole Lussier on being called up to play with the Soo Eagles

Both Cole and Seiya played in the 2-1 victory over the Springfield Blues in NAHL action.

Tryout Date set

The Soo Indians have set the date and times for 2014/2015 season tryouts. The camp will be held at the Norris center on the campus of LSSU on June 28 and 29, 2014. Saturday's ice times will be 1:30 - 3:00 p.m. for practice. Games will be 6:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday 9:30 a.m. Post camp interviews will be conducted after the last game.

The price of the camp is $100.00 US dollars per player. All players need to be USA hockey registered.

If you are selected to play for the Soo Indians a $500 dollar deposit will be required to secure your spot on the team for the season.
