Indians season ends with a 5-1 loss to little Caesars

In the final game of the season and state championships Little Caesars came out strong and scored three goals in the first period and two more in the second period before Brendan Maclaren took a pass from Trevor Temple in the slot and put a nice shot past their goalie, however that was the only goal that Indians could muster and the game end 5-1. Brandon Gordon took the loss in net for the Indians. The Indians finish a very successful season with 31 wins 25 loses and 3 ties.

Coach Caricatto felt that it was great season and is looking to building around the returning players for the 2014-2015 season.

Oakland downs the Indians 3-1 in a fast pace game

Both teams needing a win for any chance of either team having an opportunity to advance to the semi finals it was fast and physical throughout the whole game. The Grizzlies drew first blood with a goal at the 5:39 mark of the first period on a power play to take the lead. At 10:02 mark Landon Hubbard set up Trevor Temple in front of the net for the tying goal, however Oakland responded with another goal to take the lead back and from that point on the Indians tried everything to get the next goal but had no luck and the Grizzlies scored their third goal to solidify the win. Jared Sauve played outstanding in the net in a losing effort.

The Indians will play their final game of the 2013-2014 season against Little Caesars at 530.

Indians fall to Belle Tire in the first game at states

In the first game at the states Indians came out quick when Andrew Barbeau score power play with assists going to Frankie Pucci and Casey Gilling, then with 1:41 left in the first period Gilling took a pass from Pucci and Cole Lussier then went in to score on the Belle Tire tender to end the period up 2-1. In the second Belle Tire lived up to their #3 ranking and buried 5 unanswered goals to go into the dressing room with Indians down 6-2. In the third Belle Tire scored 3 more goals before Landon Hubbard scored on a pass from Mike Miller. Jared Sauve took the loss in net.

The Indians will take on the Oakland Grizzlies at 9 pm on Thursday night.

State Championship bound

The Indians are departing Sault Ste. Marie traveling to Taylor Michigan to take part in the Midget AAA State Championships starting tonight when they face of against Belle Tire at 9pm.
