In a Sunday rematch both teams picked up were they left of Saturday night with fast end to end action. Cleveland lit the lamp first scoring at the 7:26 mark of the first period to go up 1-0. The Indians fought back at the 4:57 mark of the second period on a power play when Seiya Hayata ripped a slap shot past the Cleveland goaltender, assists going to Frankie Pucci and Casey Gilling. At 5:19 the Barons scored their second goal to take the lead. In the third period both teams traded great scoring opportunities, however neither goalie would allow anything past and the game ended 2-1. Brandon Gordon played stellar in the pipes stopping 36 shots in a losing effort.
Overall Coach Carricato felt "even in loosing the game, the kids played and competed against one of the best teams in the nation and both games had the opportunity to win. We will learn from these games and continue to get better, I was very proud of the teams effort this weekend".
The Indians travel to Flint next weekend to compete in a Showcase event. Their first game will be Friday night at 6 against the Utah Regulators.
