INDIANS DOWN THE MADISON CAPITALS 4-3 IN THE FINAL GAME OF THE WEEKEND

The Indians started fast against the Capitals and scored first when Landon Hubbard put a shot through traffic assisted by Mike Miller and Drew Goupille. Less than a minute later Kristian Jackson scored from Zach Satalino and Nick Skaluba to take a two goal lead. Satalino scored in the second stanza from Trevor Jestadt and Jackson making it 3-0. Madison finally scored to cut the lead to two, however, Brenden MacLaren beat the Caps goalie up top.   The goal was assisted by Brendan Miller sending both teams to the dressing room after two periods with the Indians up 4-1. In the third both teams had chances but could not capitalize early, with time running down and the Madison Capitals upping their tempo, the Indians were forced to kill off three continous penalties.  Madison scored two goals to cut the lead to one, however, the team settled down.  The team continued to dig in, blocking shots, and playing defensively, to close out the game and gain the win. Brandon Gordon took the win in net. The coaching staff was pleased with the two road wins.  The team will be back in action Wednesday night against the Soo Thunderbirds at the Big Bear Arena.
