Tampa tops the Indians 4-2 in the opening game of the Honeybaked/Compuware Tourney

The Friday morning game saw the Scorpions jump out to a two goal lead before the Indians found their attack, Spencer Silver tipped a pass by the Scorpion netminder from Nolan Slachetka and Dyllon Anderson to get back to a one goal deficit.  Then less than forty seconds later Spencer DenBeste found himself open on the back side of the netminder with a rebound and an open net to tie the game up at two each.  Justin Moyle and Kyle Lake assisted on that goal.  In the third period the Indians put continuous pressure on Tampa but couldn't get one between their pipes and with five minutes remaining the Scorpions scored to go up one, then with 50 seconds remaining on a powerplay they sealed the win to get their fourth goal of the game.  Jordan Lawday stopped 30 shots in a lossing effort.

The Indians will return to action at 320 pm today against the West Seneca Wings from New York.
