Indians complete the sweep downing Copper Country 3-2

Sunday the Indians scored first again when Spencer DenBeste crossed the blue line cut to the middle and put a snap shot over the left shoulder of the Copper Country goalie, assisted by Hayden Clark.  Clark added a goal of his own when he threaded a shot from the point on an Indian power play to put the Indians up 2-0, Spencer Silver had the assist on the goal.  The Indians took a 2-0 lead into the second period, however early on the Copper Country scored to get within one goal on a power play, then in the third they scored a short handed goal on a breakaway to even the score a 2 a piece.  The Indians didn't quit and at the 6:51 mark Kyle Lake tipped a shot from Dyllon Anderson past the Copper Country goaltender for what would turn out to be the game winner as the scored ended 3-2.  Jordan Lawday stopped 29 shots between the pipes for the Soo and preserved the win.

The Indians travel next weekend to Detroit to play in the Compuware/Honeybaked Tournament, Friday morning at 9:50 am they take on the Tampa Bay Scorpions, then at 3:20 pm they play the West Seneca Wings.  Saturday morning at 8:00 am they will face Meijer AAA, then MDHL White at 5:00 pm.  Games after that will be determined on the outcome of the previous games.
