Indians battle through two tough games with Compuware during the weekend

This weekend saw action resume at home for the Indians in MAHA Tier 1 play as the Compuware Ambassadors were in town for the league games at the Taffy Abel Arena.  On Saturday night Compuware jumped out to 2-0 lead through the first period before the Indians got back within one goal in the second period as Drew Miotke banged home a pass from Colin Goff, then less than a minute later Ethan Lindle found a lose puck in front of the Ambassadors net putting it home for the tying goal, assisted by Moitke and Goff.  Late in the second the Indians took the lead on shot from the point by Eli Doughardt-Wood, set up by Goff and Peter Pawlanta.  Late in the second Compuware got the tying goal and both teams played even throughout the third to send the game into overtime.  In overtime both teams traded opportunities in end to end action but with 1:45 remaining the Ambassadors scored to take the overtime win in game one of the series.

On Sunday morning both teams faced off again with Compuware jumping out to an early lead in the first period, then adding a second early in the third before Eli Doughardt-Wood scored on a power play from Dylan Bott and Connor Mcaleer to get within one.  The Indians pressed had for the remainder of the game but couldn't get anything in the net and fell 2-1.  Logan Raffaele played outstanding in both games for the Indians in net.

The Indians will be at home this coming weekend November 14 and 15 as they take on Little Caesars 5pm Saturday night and 10am Sunday morning at the Taffy Abel Arena in two more MAHA Tier 1 league games.  Fans are welcome but must wear facemasks and adhere to social distancing guidelines.
