Indians finish out the regular season with a split with Lake Forrest Prep Academy

In the final weekend of regular season play the Indians took on the Lake Forrest Prep Academy team from Illinois. Saturday the teams met at the Pullar Staduim with both teams playing even through the first period with neither team being able to get on the scoreboard, in the second Seve Litz capitalized on an Indians powerplay scoring off a set up from Robbie Landis and Kole Altergott to give them the lead which they carried into the third period. In the third the Indians added another powerplay goal on a shot from Colin Handy, set up by Kevin Smith and Altergott, then Altergott scored from Litz and Cole Peterson for a 3-0 lead. With time running out and killing a penalty Altergott picked up a clearing pass from Robbie Landis and scored his second of the night to secure the 4-0 win. Taylor White played outstanding in net turning away all 33 shots sent his wave to earn the shut out and win.
On Sunday LFA was the one taking advantage of their power play opportunities scoring two in the first period for the lead then added another early in the second before Grady Coppo went in all alone on their goalie beating him to get the Indians on the board. LFA struck early in the third to regain a 3 goal lead before Kole Altergott hit Cole Peterson with a pass sending him in all alone scoring to get back within 2. However that was all they could muster and LFA added an empty net goal for the 5-2 win. Cam LaBadie turned away 25 shots between the pipes for the Indians.
