Indians battle LFA in two tough games
Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at 12:17PM Saturday afternoon opened a two game series with Lake Forrest Prep academy, LFA got on the board late in first period, but with 12 seconds remaining in the period Caden McDonald answered back scoring after being set up by Zach Sweitzer and Jack Jimenez to even things up at 1. For the final two periods neither team could break the tie and the final score ended 1-1. Justin Bamberger was in net for the Indians for the tie.
Sunday in the rematch LFA scored three unanswered goals in the first two periods before Owen Hendrikson put one behind their netminder. The Indians put 30 shots on net but could only manage the one goal and with the net empty LFA scored to secure a 4-1 win. Cam Labadie had the duties in net for the Indians.
The Indians now travel to Detroit to take on Victory Honda Friday night and Saturday, with their final game of the weekend against Compuware on Sunday morning.
