In the Friday night game the Gamblers jumped out to an early lead with quick goal, however the Indians answer back with two goals of their own in the first period. Brenden MacLaren tied the game up on a shot with an assist going to Spencer DenBeste, then a minute later Jonathon Bostwick put the Indians up by one assisted by Nick Skaluba and Zach Ahola. In the second period the Indians continued to put pressure on the Gambler goalie and Brendan Miller tipped a shot by MacLaren with the other assist by DenBeste. Kalvin Hillock put a shot behind the netminder to go up two from Tiger Weber and Ethan St.Germain. Drew Goupille finished the second period scoring from DenBeste to send the teams to the dressing room after two periods with the Indians up 5-1. In the third period Green Bay had 4 unanswered goals to gain a 5-5 tie. Will Hartwick stopped 19 shots between the pipes for the Indians.
On Saturday morning Green Bay opened the scoring on the first shift of the game to take the lead 1-0. MacLaren scored midway threw the period to get back tied from Skaluba and Miller, Anthony Harris scored on a shot from the point to put the Indians up one from Bostwick and Ahola. Green Bay answered back with a goal to tie it back up. In the third Green Bay punched one home for the lead again and then Ethan St.Germain scored from Skaluba and Weber for the Indians 3rd goal. Neither team could score anything and the game ended with a 3-3 score. Shaun Brown had 19 saves in the net for the tie.
In are now traveling to Houghton for two games against Team Copper Country at 8pm tonight and 11am Sunday.
