Indians drop two to Fox Motors on the Weekend

Friday nights opening game of the series turned out to be a high paced up and down game for both teams, and both goaltenders were up to the task turning away many grade a chances.  Midway through the second period Fox Motors player got a rebound of the boards and found himself in front alone scoring on his opportunity.  Down by one going into the third period the Indians pressed hard for the tying goal however with the goalie out for the extra attacker Fox was able to control the puck and scored on the empty net to solidify the 2-0 win.  Logan Raffaele played outstanding in net for the Indians.

Saturday morning in the rematch Fox got on the board first early in the period on a breakaway, the Indians answered right back on a goal by Kevin Bostwick set up by PJ Donnelly and Max Povorozniuk.  Both teams played even throughout the second period, in the third Fox added two goals for the lead, but again the Indians fought back within one goal when Nick Castillo scored from Max Povorozniouk.  With time ticking down and the net empty Fox was able to score for the 4-2 win.  Gabe Rosek turned away 28 shots for the Indians.

The Indians will take a break for the Christmas holidays and return to action January 4,5 and 6 when the Thunder Bay Kings and Honeybaked will both be in town for 4 games over the weekend.
