Indians fall in two tight games to finish the weekend road trip

Saturday on the second game of the three game road trip the Indians fell to the Indy Jr Fuel 3-1.  The Indians opened the scoring in the first period scoring while shorthanded due to hard work by Grady Coppo to set up Kevin Smith in front of the net for the 1-0 lead which the held till early in third period.  Indy capitalized on a power play a minute into the third to even the score then with 3:33 remaining won the battle for the puck in the crease to take the lead and added an empty net goal to secure the 3-1 win.  Sunday the Indians played the Cleveland Barons, this time the Barons got on the board first on the powerplay.  Alex Freund scored from Colin Goff and Seve Litz to even the score with 5 minutes remaining in the first period, however Cleveland answered back late in the first to regain the lead 2-1 at the end of the period.  Freund scored his second of the game from Goff and Curtis Hubbard in the second period sending both teams even into the third period.  Late in the third the Barons capitized on another power play chance scoring with 2:44 remaining to take the lead back and win.  Taylor White had the duties between the pipes for the Indians.

The Indians return home to the Taffy Abel Arena this coming weekend to take on Honeybaked Saturday at 5pm and Sunday morning at 10am in MAHA league action with valueable points on the line.
