Players will report to Sault Ste. Marie on August 28th for training camp.

Indians announce a partnership with LSSU sports science department

General Manager Mike Kaunisto announced today that the Soo Indians have formed a partnership with the Lake Superior State University sports science department to evaluate and work with Al MacArthur the Indians strength and conditioning coach to analyze and recomend strength programs to enhance all the players.  Eric Statt, PH.D, Chair and Assistant Professor of the Recreation Studies and Exercise Science, along with the LSSU students will do the NHL Combine testing on all of the Players to evaluate and follow their progress throughout the year.  Coach Rebek stated this is a great opportunity for all of our players to elevate their strength and conditioning to improve their overall game.

Friday June 17   5:00 pm   Registration

                        7:00-8:30 pm  Practice

Saturday June 18   10:00 am    Game

                              5:00 pm    Game

Sunday June 19      9:00 am     Game

Player exit interviews will immediately after the game finishes.  Players selected for the team will be required to pay a $500 deposit to hold their position on the team, any questions contact Mike Kaunisto @ 906 440 0157 or Rick Corbiere @ 906 322 2070.

Goalie positions full for tryout camp

  If you are interested in playing Goal for the Soo Indians you must contact Rick Corbiere directly as we have exceded our number of goalies we can except at the tryout camp in June.  Rick can be reached at 906-322-2070 week days after 6pm EST anytime on the weekends AAA or higher experience preferred
