Indians take on A21 Academy from Windsor Ontario
The Indians upcoming weekend series will pit them against the A21 Prep Academy from Windsor Ontario. Saturdays game will be at the Taffy Abel arena 3pm Saturday and 8am Sunday morning.

Next action for the Indians will be on Saturday, January 8th 5pm at the Taffy Abel Arena against the Oakland Jr Grizzilies.
The final weekend of 2021 had the Indians traveling to Troy Michigan to faceoff against the number 9 nationally ranked Oakland Jr Grizzilies in MAHA league action. Saturday Oakland got on the board in the first period for the lead which they carried into the third period before Kole Altergoff scored on the powerplay from Robbie Landis to even the score at 1-1. Midway through the second period the Grizzilies regained the lead, however with 4:09 remaining Colin Goff scored unassisted beating their netminder over the shoulder to even the score at 2 and send the game into overtime. In overtime the Indians missed on their opportunities and Oakland capitalized for the 3-2 overtime win with 2:58 remaining. Talyor White played outstanding between the pipes for the Indians in a lossing effort.
Sunday both teams met again and this time it was the Indians jumping out to the early lead when Alex Fruend scored from Grady Coppo. Oakland didn't quit and evened the score two minutes later, then took the lead late in the Third, then added one more goal in each of the final two period for the 4-1 win. Cam Labadie played excellent in the net for the Indians.
The Indians will take a break for the Christmas before returning to the Sault on December 29th to prepare for the second half of the season and the run to the MAHA State Championships.
This weekends contests had the Indians taking on Fox Motors from Grand Rapids. Saturday Colin Goff continue his scoring putting three past their netminder for the hat trick, Colin opened the scoring at the end of the first period from Kole altergott and Robbie Landis for a 1-0 at the end of the first period. In the second Ethan Chambers scored from Curtis Hubbard to add to the lead, then Goff scored his second of the game from Landis Scott Vanderhoff. Fox finally broke the ice scoring late in the period, before Goff added his third of the game from Seve Litz and Gabe Fisher for a 4-1 lead at the end of the second period. Neither team scored in the third, Taylor White took the win in net.
Sunday Fox got on the board first with a powerplay goal, however Kyle Stevens answered back for the Indians from Cole Peterson and Alex Fruend to even score at 1. The second period saw the Indians score 4 unanswered goals, first Seve Litz scored from Kole Altergott and Colin Goff, Fruend scored unassisted, Altergott scored from Litz and Fruend scored his second of the game from Grady Coppo for a 5-1 lead at the end of the second period. Fox added a second goal in the third and the Indians took the game 5-2, Taylor White played outstanding in the net for the win.
The Indians will close out 2021 next Saturday and Sunday in Troy Michigan against the Oakland Grizzlies. Saturday 430, Sunday 9am.
The past weekend had the Indians on the road for a 3 game swing in Detroit and Cleveland Ohio. Friday night the Indians took on Belle Tire in Taylor for MAHA league action, Colin Goff opened the scoring midway through the first period, from Kole Altergott and Colin Handy, to give the Indians the lead which the carried into the second period. Late in the second Belle Tire evened the score on a power play they added a second goal with 42 seconds remaining for a 2-1 lead heading into the third period. The final period was all Belle Tire as they added 5 more goals on 4 power plays to secure the win for them. Taylor white handled the duties in the net for the Indians.
Saturday morning the Indians continued their road trip south to Cleveland Ohio to take on the Barons. Colin Goff scored from Seve Litz to put them out front until the 8 minute mark of the third period when Barons finally broke the ice to even the score. Neither team managed to score in regulation sending the game into overtime and with 2:11 left in OT Cleveland for the net taking the 2-1 overtime win. Taylor White played excellent in net for the Indians.
Sunday morning was the rematch with the Barons and for the third game in a row Colin Goff scoring opening goal on a shorthanded breakaway for the 1-0. In the second period Seve Litz added to the lead from Grady Coppo and Curtis Hubbard, however the Barons fought back scoring two of their own to send the teams into the third period tied at 2. At the 9:36 mark Ethan Lindle scored unassisted putting the Indians ahead again which they held taking the win. Cam Labadie took the win in net for the Indians.
The Indians return home this upcoming weekend to take on Fox Motors from Grand Rapids in MAHA action. Saturdays game will be at 4pm at the Big Bear Arena, with the rematch on Sunday 10am at the Taffy Abel Arena.
