Indians split on the road with the Cleveland Barons
Saturday night the Indians came off the bus and opened up quickly scoring two goals in the first period. Will Boyer opened the scoring splitting the defense and beating the goaltender on pass from Bryce Grandbois, then Colin Goff beat the netminder on a shot, set up by Ethan Lindle. In the second period Boyer added his second of the game from Grandbois and Robbie Landis, Goff then added his second of the game from Lindle and Colin Handy. The Barons got on the board in the second period with two goals and the Indians took a 4-2 Lead into the third period. The third period saw Bryce Grandbois score the his first of his two goals, one set up by Landis and Jack Mathias and his second from Cole Peterson and Colin Handy, the Barons added one goal, however Logan Raffaele secured the 6-3 win in net.
Sunday saw Cleveland jump out to an early lead before Robbie Zimmerman scored from Bryce Orouke and Kyle Stevens, then Will Boyer put the Indians up by one goal from Bryce Grandbois. Cleveland evened the score early in the second period then added one more to take a 3-2 lead into the third period. The Indians had several opportunities however the Barons added two more goals on the power play to secure and 5-2 win. Lucas Henderson took the loss in net for the Indians.
The Indians will be back in action next weekend when they travel to Detroit to take on the Oakland Jr Grizzilies Friday night and then Victory Honda on Saturday and Sunday.
